Mr. Tse Fu-shing

Mr. Tse Fu-shing, Chief Librarian of Hong Kong Public Libraries, rest
in God at the dawn of 10 March 2002, aged 55.
Mr. Tse joined the civil services of the Hong Kong Government in August 1965 and was subsequently promoted to the rank of Chief Librarian in October 1995. Throughout the thirty-seven years of service with the Government, he has proven himself to be a capable, diligent and conscientious civil servant. He has worked in the departmental libraries of the Judiciary and the Television & Entertainment Licensing Authority. He has also spent most of his career in various public library units of the Urban Services Department, the then Regional Services Department and the Leisure and Cultural Services Department.
In recognition of his meritorious service and contribution over the years in civil services, he was awarded a 30 Years' Meritorious Service Certificate and Long Service Travel Award from the Government in 1996 and 1998 respectively.
The Hong Kong Library Association announces in deep sorrow, the loss
of an honourable and memorable member who devoted and contributed greatly
to the public library services in Hong Kong.
