Lingnan University (LU) Library has the privilege of receiving a special donation from Tokuma Shoten Publishing Co. Ltd. of Japan and becomes the first JULAC library introducing the Japanese translations of Jin Yong's martial arts novels to its users.  The collection has been acquired through the kind assistance of Mr. and Mrs. Masatsugu KANEKO.  Mr. KANEKO is the Systems Librarian of the Waseda University and Mrs. KANEKO (Yumi OKAZAKI), one of the translators of Jin Yong's works.

Jin Yong's novels have also been translated into other languages, namely Thai, Burmese, Indonesian, English and so on, but none of these translations appear in any complete set yet.  The Japanese set will soon be completed after the publication of 天龍八部 and 鹿鼎記 in 2002 and 2003 respectively.  The publication schedule of the Japanese collection is as follows:
